Just last night we had a meeting over the phone. It was initially to discuss payment for a gig but as usual the discussion led into the grander scheme of things. Amongst the words we shared this came up:
What are we hoping to achieve?
I can’t personally speak for Joe and Rhett however for me the answer to this question is extremely simple. Keep making music I love, with the people I love, for the people I love. In other words, the goal is already achieved. Releasing the album and playing sweet shows is just fun.
The last 3 years has been full of unexpected twists for everyone but it seems that that time has passed for Loxodon. The road ahead seems really smooth. Every day we get more followers/likes/listens and there is literally nothing stopping us from making this a solid second income.
The last few gigs have been really smooth. Joe and Rhett are monster musicians and just great dudes. The headaches of the past all seem to be behind us.
It’s so great getting out and playing again and I simply want to keep going.
