First and foremost we want to express our gratitude for all of you who have supported us over the years. We cannot overstate how amazing the support has been and how appreciative we are for every single person who saw what we were trying to do here and did what they could to help. For that we are eternally grateful.

But as the next chapter of our lives begin we must close the chapter before and it is with heavy but happy hearts we announce that Loxodon will no longer be collaborating together.

Don’t be sad. Yes, it is a bummer that Loxodon is finished but we aren’t quiting music altogether or anything. Mo Day will continue playing shows solo-acoustic and is planning to release more original music in the next year. Also there is nothing stopping us from choosing to work on other projects together in the future if we want to. This band has been an amazing experience for all of us. So many stories and memories made. There is a lot of love between us but the time and energy it takes to keep a band at this level going wasn’t making sense for us personally anymore. So we made the hard decision to move on.

One thing I want to personally say as the lead singer, guitarist and founder is that I am so proud the guys that have made up this band over the years. I have always believed that more heads, more better-er and the brilliant musicians who have made up this group have proven that to be true. Not only that but these dudes managed to put up with my antics for more than 5 years which is really saying something! This project has been one of the most difficult and rewarding of my life. I am so proud of the music we made together and I will never forget how absolutely fucking hard this band fucking rocked! So much love <3

Two singles, one EP, one album and…

Yes, that’s right. We have one more trick up our sleeve! The last show we ever played was February 4th at the Machine Shop opening up for Living Colour. At the time we didn’t know it was going to be our last show but as fate would have it… we have a recording of almost the entire thing and we are in the process of mixing it down for release as this post is being written.

Coming Soon: “Loxodon: Live at the Machine Shop!”
